New Day — New Case
One of our regular clients came to us with another interesting request. We had already earned their trust after previously managing to “rescue” a complex shipment from Dubai.
The Task
Transport a very large shipment from Dubai to Russia that could not fit on standard scheduled flights. In addition, the cargo was subject to certain restrictions.

What We Had at the Time
1. A common routing option was via Malé. However, this would not work because no cargo aircraft operated from Malé, and for cargo of this size, a freighter was the only suitable aircraft type.
2. We were unable to find a suitable option via Turkey… for the first leg. It is worth noting that cargo aircraft out of Dubai had become something of a luxury by that point. Previously, there had been many more freighter options and it was relatively easy to find a suitable flight. Over time, however, the number of such flights decreased significantly, making it much more difficult to move oversized cargo.
3. While we were working on the shipment, the 11th package of sanctions was introduced, affecting additional carriers, including some we had worked with. As a result, the number of available options became even more limited.
What We Did
First, we checked whether an airline we will условно call “Lucky” could accept the shipment. They operated cargo aircraft from Dubai, but initially refused to take the cargo.
At the same time, we explored several charter options, but they were extremely cost-inefficient, so we ruled them out.
We continued searching for options via Turkey and were confident that, with enough time, we would eventually find a solution. But fortunately, that was no longer necessary — we found another way to solve the problem sooner.

Let’s return to the airline “Lucky”, which had initially refused the shipment. After the introduction of new sanctions, the airline temporarily suspended certain routes in order to assess the market and global situation. Even after flights resumed, they once again confirmed that they were not prepared to accept the cargo.
However, thanks to our personal contacts and established business relationships, we eventually managed to agree on moving the shipment with this very airline.
That was a huge relief for everyone. But as we like to say, we remained “cautiously optimistic” — until the shipment was actually completed and the cargo had physically arrived in Russia, it was still too early to celebrate. That agreement was only one part of the journey.
In the end, we managed to move the cargo on the very first resumed flight, which made the whole operation surprisingly fast.
However, thanks to our personal contacts and established business relationships, we eventually managed to agree on moving the shipment with this very airline.

Friday — cargo arrived in Russia.
Naturally, the client was both surprised and delighted.
