We’re continuing our interview series! It’s interesting even for us, because it gives us a chance to get to know our colleagues better. Along with questions about logistics and the company, we also decided to include some more personal ones.
So today, we’ll find out what Olga studied, how she got into logistics, what her favorite hobby is, take a look at the beautiful results of her creativity, and learn what she considers her superpower. Let’s go!

As always, let’s start with the professional side. Tell us about your experience in logistics.
Of course. I have more than 2.5 years of experience.
Was this your first job after university? Did you study logistics?
Not my first job — or even my second :)
I studied to become a member of parliament :D
More precisely, my degree was in Public and Municipal Administration.
- Why did you decide not to work in your field of study? And what was your first job back then?My first job was as a sales assistant at a Colin’s clothing store. That was while I was still at university.
*After graduating, I felt completely lost — as if I knew a lot and nothing at the same time. I think many former students will understand that feeling :) *
I received a very good education, but it was broad rather than focused on one specific profession, so I couldn’t really call myself a specialist in any particular field.
In addition to studying Russian legislation, my program had a strong focus on economics, a huge number of mathematical and technical subjects, and, surprisingly enough, even PROGRAMMING O_o. Having basic knowledge across so many different areas actually made it harder to decide what direction to take next.
Working in a government institution seemed quite dull and routine to me, especially at the beginning when you have no experience.
On top of that, I graduated during the COVID-19 period, so I ended up taking a job based on the circumstances — on a Moscow Government COVID project. I consulted people about COVID-related issues and kept records of confirmed cases. - Wow! That sounds like such an interesting and challenging experience. So how did you end up in logistics? :)The stars just aligned! Some people I knew were already working in the industry and invited me to join them. It sounded interesting — and here I am. I got hooked :)
- What does logistics mean to you, and why did you choose it?For me, it’s a way to expand my horizons and opportunities — and to feel that I’m part of something bigger.
- I agree! You can learn so many interesting things about the rules and laws of other countries through this work. What do you enjoy most about your job?Yes! I already got to know Russian laws and regulations at university — now it’s time to learn about other countries.
What I enjoy most about my work is the constant development, communicating with all kinds of people, and that feeling of victory when you manage to overcome a difficult situation.

Mostly, I read or draw.
I can’t help but ask you to share some of your work! What do you like to draw, and what materials do you use?
Of course! I’ve tried a lot of different techniques — watercolor, gouache, acrylics, oil paints, a tablet with a stylus, alcohol inks, pastels, and charcoal.
Oil painting and digital art are the ones I connected with the most.
As for subjects, I enjoy nature, people, and abstract art.

And speaking of reading, what is your favorite book?Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. - What is it about the book that resonated with you?Pride and prejudice often prevent us from seeing things as they really are. We judge people based on what others say about them or on their financial status. And of course, in the end, love overcomes both prejudice and pride, while the characters gradually reveal completely different sides of themselves.
- What are you reading now?The Hunger Games in English. Combining something enjoyable with something useful.
- I love that trilogy! What is your favorite quote, and what does it mean to you personally?One of my favorites is: “If you can’t change the situation, change your attitude toward it.” It reflects something I still need to work on and strive for. We choose how to perceive failure — either as a fall or as a new opportunity — and we often forget that.
- I completely agree — that’s a great quote. And what do you think your superpower is?I think it’s intuition and analytical thinking. When analysis doesn’t help, intuition takes over :)
Have there been any interesting situations where your intuition helped you or even saved the day? :)
Nothing particularly dangerous, but it definitely helps in everyday life.
What skill would you like to learn?
Playing the piano ;)
Have you not started yet, or are you already learning little by little?
I’ve tried using an app and video lessons, but it’s still quite difficult to learn on my own. So for now, this skill is still on my list for the future.
And what would you like to do this year that you’ve never done before?
Try snowboarding.
Nothing particularly dangerous, but it definitely helps in everyday life.

- Oh wow, that’s quite adventurous — I genuinely admire people who aren’t afraid to try things like that :) And how would you celebrate your first run? What’s your favorite food?I love heights and the feeling of flying — it’s both scary and fascinating at the same time. That’s why snowboarding is one of the items on my “to-do list.”
And as for how I’d celebrate... hmm... with pizza! Any kind, as long as there’s no onion. I’m open even to unusual combinations. I’ve tried a few different ones before — for example, pizza with plum, and one with pear was actually really good! - Tell us about your most recent happy day off — what was it like?Pretty simple, actually. I met up with friends I hadn’t seen for a long time :)
- And one final, very important question… answer honestly! Cats or dogs?Dear dogs, please forgive me, but my heart belongs to proud and independent cats!
